The work consists of a continuous landscape with forests, mountains, animals, people and symbols. A world to follow along the window and discover piece by piece.
The title The Long Now refers to the many timescales that can exist within a landscape: the ancient formations of the mountains, the slow growth of the forest, the shorter presence of humans and animals, and the rapidly shifting colors of the sky.
The process also included thoughts and ideas from children and young people about the forest and the future, which served as inspiration for details in the landscape.
